The Graduate Student Council is proud to provide funding for Graduate Student Organizations (GSOs) to conduct events related to their research or meaningful campus activities. The application and requirements below must all be met at least 1 month in advance of the event to guarantee funds are approved before the date.

HOW OFTEN CAN GSOs GET FUNDING?
GSOs may receive funding once per semester.
HOW MUCH CAN BE REQUESTED?
$500
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
Eligibility
- For an event put on by a chartered GSO
- At least three members of the GSO must perform 1 hour of community service
- Funding must be for general event expenses or speaker honorariums, not for:
- General operation funds for GSOs
- Support for fundraising efforts
- Food for events
- Events not specifically sponsored by a university-recognized Graduate Student Organization.
Application
- A cover letter that explains the event details and exactly how the funding will be used
- A brief letter from the GSO advisor justifying the value of this event
- Description of community service performed
- Description of other sources of income for this event
