Anna Harmon is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Sciences in the Randall Lab at New Mexico State University. Having graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in May 2020, she began her Master of Science at NMSU in the Fall of 2020, which she completed in the labs of Dr. Elba Serrano and Dr. Jennifer Randall.
Having moved from her community and trying to find a new one at NMSU amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Anna is empathetic to all students looking for their community at NMSU, which led her to join Graduate Student Council. She hopes in her time as President to help other graduate students form graduate student organizations such that everyone feels they have belonging and a home in Las Cruces and at NMSU. When not in the lab, Anna enjoys baking, spending time with her church, and cross-stitch/embroidery.
