Diego Chavez

Biography

Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, Diego Chavez is currently a doctoral student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at New Mexico State University, specializing in control systems. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from NMSU. During his time at the university, he served in multiple leadership roles in the Engineering Student Council and as an ASNMSU Graduate Senator. His research focuses on applications of neuromorphic computing, including integrating real-time control systems to develop energy-efficient solutions in deep learning and machine learning. Outside of academics, he enjoys music production, reading, and exploring topics in medicine.
