Innocentia Ijeoma is a third-year Ph.D. student in the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry where she conducts research in organic chemistry focused on developing new strategies for constructing complex polycyclic aromatic systems. She earned her M.S. in Chemistry from NMSU and previously completed a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Applied Mathematics, followed by a B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry from the University of South Africa. Beyond research, Innocentia enjoys community engagement and has contributed to the academic community through teaching, mentorship, and service activities. Innocentia is dedicated to fostering effective communication, collaboration, and meaningful engagement while supporting initiatives that strengthen the graduate student community at NMSU.
