Emergency Bylaw Change

At the April 8th, 2020 meeting of the council, we debuted a proposed bylaw amendment that would allow the council emergency powers that could potentially be used to:

~Cancel or Postpone GRAS, and retroactively waive all travel funding requirements for GRAS presentations to the beginning of the year.

~Fund incomplete travel requests, especially in the case of students who have cancellations costs associated with a cancelled workshop or conference.

~Double funding appropriation limits for travel impacted by an emergency.

This is intended to assist students who have costs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, but for it to pass, we require a quorum of 17 voting members at our next meeting on April 22nd.
